Longport is a Borough in Atlantic County, at the southernmost tip of Absecon Island. The borough has a total area of 1.6 square miles, and a population over 1,000. Absecon Island consists of the City of Atlantic City, the City of Ventnor, the City of Margate and the Borough of Longport. Longport is about a 65 minute drive to Philadelphia, a 2½ hour drive to New York City and just 15 minutes from downtown Atlantic City. It is primarily a residential community with a blend of older, quaint seashore homes, as well as breathtaking modern, shore styled houses. The beautiful, sandy white beaches are well maintained and easily accessible to all.
